The Way To Prosperity

            Common sense tells us that our country must ultimately produce as much as we consume. We cannot tax and borrow forever. It is a fantasy to believe we can spend endlessly beyond our means as there is a point at which we can tax and borrow no more and repayment becomes due.​
            Let’s be honest, productivity requires sufficient incentive to work hard, to be creative, to take risks, and to invest.  It is stupid to believe that we will be motivated if we do not have to work for what we get or if too much of what we earn is taken from us.

            Smart Government invests in people so that we have the opportunity to be productive and enjoy success.  But it is up to each of us to use that opportunity work for success.  We must also take responsibility. For if we are bailed out when we fail, then why strive for success?

             Stupid Government redistributes wealth excessively and thereby destroys incentive, productivity, and prosperity.  Unfortunately, we are often seduced into basking in goodies from government, not realizing that the party will have an unpleasant end.

            We the people have a choice of the kind of government we want. We can follow a path of individual responsibility and merit that leads to prosperity or we can indulge in the stupidity of believing we can forever live off of the efforts of others, which is the path to national decline.

America is rich with opportunities to unleash our vast potential for productivity and prosperity.  This is the source of a better life for all.
